In UNIT 2 we are talking about an archeological dig and we are totally back in time. Students are learning how people bring history to life, acting out battles or using metal detectors to find ancient objects.
Here I show you one exemple of my last trip to the past. Read it and invent one place you went to and things you found in your back in time trip. WRITE A POST BELOW TO TELL ME YOUR EXPERIENCE!!!
Last July I went for a trip to the TITANIC ruins. The boat was built from 1909 to 1912 and it sank the night of the 14th-15th April 1912 when it bumped into an iceberg. This was its first and last trip.
The TITANIC left Southampton port and it never arrived to New York. 2223 people were on board and 1514 died in this accident.
In my journey, I dived in the water into a special craft and I found lots of objects. I found knives, spoons and forks made of metal and I found some plates and glasses. I found an old table made of wood and the ruins of a big brown door. There were some stairs made of stone and a classical fireplace made of gold in the suite room. It was amazing!!!
Later in the afternoon I went to a café to have a snack with my friends and we talked about the objects we found. I ate a sandwich and I drank a delicious chocolate milkshake.
When I arrived home, I used the internet to look up more information about this fantastic boat and I used the printer to print out some photos. Then I had a shower and I watched TV. I texted my mum to tell her my fantastic experience. It was a great day!!!
THE LAST DAY IS FRIDAY 25TH NOVEMBER!!!
Last August I went for a trip to the CHICHÉN ITZÁ. The ruins were built in 1988 by The Mayans.
ResponderEliminarIn my journey, I went by car with my friends and when I arrived, I found many objects. I found gold coins, ancient letters... I found the ruins of a large brown door. There were some stone stairs and many people around. It was amazing!!!
Later in the evening I went to a restaurant for dinner with my friends and talked about the objects we found and saw. I ate a pizza and drank a delicious aquarius.
When I arrived home, I used the internet to find out more about these fantastic ruins and used the printer to print some photos. Then I had a shower and texted my parents to tell them about my fantastic experience. It was a great day!!!

EliminarMy trip to the past is the ruins of Machu Picchu.
ResponderEliminarIt is believed that Machu Picchu, called Vilcabamba at that time, was built around 1450, during the Inca period and was an important urban and religious center. It is known that it was inhabited by a population of between 300 and 1000 inhabitants, most of whom were engaged in agriculture.
It was not until 1911, when an explorer located the ruins when climbing Huayna Picchu and from there one of the trains that arrive to Machu Picchu is named after him.
It was when the site began to be studied in depth, archaeological excavations were carried out and the tombs of the citadel were explored, where hundreds of carvings, clothing, ceramics were found...
In 1981, it was considered a Historical Sanctuary of Peru, in 1983 a World Heritage Site and in 2007, one of the 7 wonders of the world.
It is the most visited place in Peru, a year 1.5 million people visit it.
Upon returning from my trip, I met with the family and I could not stop talking about how wonderful my trip had been.

EliminarLast August I went to the UK and saw Hadrian's Wall, which was built between 122 and 130 in the north of England with the intention of separating the barbarians from the Romans. The colossal construction was commissioned by the emperor who baptized it, and with its more than 117 kilometers it goes from the eastern coast to the western coast of ancient Britain. Declared a World Heritage Site in 1987, now only a few sections of what is considered the most important monument in the United Kingdom remain standing.

Then we went to eat, mmm, we ate chips and a couple of sanwuits and a soda. Later we were seeing more things and we returned to the hotel.

EliminarThis summer visit the cave of the skulls.They are located north of Mount Segili in Benidolend (Alicante ) .
ResponderEliminarIn the cave you could see an archaelogical expedition carried out in the 17 th century
Remains of twelve people were found in the are of the site your name .
The cave has two areas , one flooded and other dry which is suitable for tourism.
We can also see utensils from the palaeolithic period.
Inside the cave we can see stalactites.
When we left the cave went to a subernirs shop and bought a necklace with a blue stone.
I also ate at a restaurant just outside the door .
I had a ham sandwich and coke . It was a fantastic day !!!

EliminarLast august I went for a trip to the Parthenon ruins in Greece.
ResponderEliminarThe Parthenon is one of the most important examples of Ancient Greek architecture.
This temple was built by decision of Pericles in honor of Athena Parthenos, patron goddess of the city. The works began in the year 447 BC and ended fifteen years later. The architects were Ictinus and Callicrates.
In my visit I walked around the monument and I learned a lot of the Greek culture. The Greeks drank from metal cups; they wore rings and bracelets, and necklaces too.
After visit the Parthenon my family and I went to the hotel and we talked about everything we had seen. In my mother’s laptop we clicked on several websites to look for more information of Parthenon.
After that, we went to the restaurant and had a quick dinner because we were very tired from the trip.
It was an amazing experience!!!!!

EliminarIn summer of the last year, I went to Brasil with my family.
ResponderEliminarWe saw the ''Cristo Redentor'', it was inaugurated the 12th, October of 1931, at Río De Janeiro.
Near the monument was a big letter, with lots of objects arround it. There were many objects like old brasilian coins, tradicional bracelets and broke bowls.
After that we went to a show in the midle of the mountain, it was great!!!
Then we went up to a helicopter and saw the Cristo Redentor with very well views.
It was a really good trip!!!!!

EliminarLast summer I went on a trip to the Pyramids in Egypt.
ResponderEliminarThe pyramids were built by the pharaohs Keops, Kefren and Micerino. They were built about 4500 years ago.
I did the trip with a group of friends by bus and train. There we found several sarcophagi and inside them several objects, old toys, masks, papyri...
Then I went to dinner with my friends, and we talked about visiting the pyramid.
When you get home, use the internet to research more about the found objects.
After I took a shower, I texted my mom to tell her about the trip and went to bed.
It was a spectacular experience¡

I printed many photos and I read very interesting things about the Castle.
At night I cleaned the objects.I couldn't sleep.
I was very nervous.

EliminarLast november I went for a trip to Berlin, the capital of Germany, to see The Berlin Wall. The wall was built in 1961 and divided the city for almost 30 years. It was shot down on November 9th 1989 and its disappearance changed the world. This event led to the end of the Cold War and the reunification of Germany.
ResponderEliminarIn my journey, I made the tour of the wall that is marked along the streets of Berlin with a double row of cobblestones. I was also able to the see ramains and memorials on many parts of wall. A memory example of this is the East Side Gallery. It is an outdoor urban art gallery that pays homage to freedom and hope for a better world. It was amazing!
Later I went to the apartment we rented in a strategic area near the Wall. In Berlin, it was very cold and my mother made me my favorite snack, which is a glass of white milk and cookies. It was delicious! Later, I began to see information on the Berlin Wall on the internet and I printed several photos and did a project about it for class because the teacher has asked us to do a project about something or a place that you have seen or visited on this winter weekend.
Finally, I went with my family to a restaurant to have a good hot dog with chips for dinner, and immediately went to bed.
It was an incredible and wonderful experience!

EliminarLast summer I went for a trip to Jordan. In that trip I watched an amazing biblical archeological dig in Khirbat a-Balu’a.
ResponderEliminarThis archeological dig is in north-central Jordan, it extends more than 12 miles, and it was occupied from the Early Iron Age, about 3,000 years ago, through today.
I traveled with my family and in our journey we found gold coins and rare metal objects.
In the afternoon we went to visit PETRA" and then we went to have dinner in a restaurant and we ate typical Jordan food. I loved "Baba Ganoush" and "tabule".
When I arrived home I used the printer to print out some photos of the trip and I used a glue to stick the photos in my bedroom w
all.

EliminarLast year I went to Egypt. I saw many pyramids if a pharaoh had many jewels and gold objects. The first pyramid was built in 2,630 a. C. by Imhotep. The last pharaoh was Cleopatra.

EliminarLast summer I went on vacation to Romania ,and by the way, we also went with the family to visit the "National Museum of History and Archeology of Bucharest", where we could see the "AEROPLAN VLAICU"
ResponderEliminarThe plane was built by Aurel Vlaicu in 1902 and first flew on June 17, 1910.
In 1912 at the Vienna Air Show a competition was held and the AEROPLAN VLAICU competed against 10 other airplanes and was the second best.
In the museum there was a place where real models and tools were found and the machines used by Vlaicu in his flight experiments, including a reproduction of the wind tunnel to test the sensation of the first flight, in another room I found the real size of the plane. The walls were decorated with lights. We found photographs, papers, wallets and projects with plans.
It was incredible.
Later in the afternoon I went to my cousins' house to have some juice and we talked about the objects we found. I ate a banana and drank coke.
When I got home I asked my grandparents about this fantastic plane and started writing things down in one of my journals. Then I took a shower and started to draw the plane, I sent a message with my drawing to my parents and friends so they can see my fantastic drawing.
It was a great day!

EliminarLast summer, I went with my family to Rome and I saw many monuments, among them was the Roman aqueduct, it was made of stones for many years and it has been made since the year 312 a.c.
ResponderEliminarWhile I was visiting it I found a Roman coin, that caught my attention because I had never seen one like it, it was very beautiful.
I recommend going to Rome as it has very interesting things, specifically the aqueducts, as they have a lot of history.

EliminarIn summer of the last year,we were on the holiday In Denia-Alicante.
ResponderEliminarwhere we were visiting the castle of the city, built in 1937. The castle is very large and really beautiful from the Muslim era.
Frist we went up to the castle tower,where you could see whole town and the sea. was very beautiful 😍
After that,we passed a park right next to the castle. We went inside the castle, where there were three rooms,the one I liked the most was the archaecological museum.
there were pictures,bowls,knifes,bracelets and what I like the letters and old books of the era written in pen not in pen!
The castle has a tunnel that crosse all the town,was rehabilitated in 2011, this tunnel was created for refuge in the Civil War of 1936 old year.
The visit was very fun,I liked it very much know old history!!!

ResponderEliminarIn september I went to Machu Picchu in Perú.
This place was bilding in 1500 and it was abandoned 100 years later. It was discobered in 1911 by Hiram Bingham.
In this place I investigated to the ruins and I discoverd lots of objects: two bracelets made of silver and gold , a very ancient coin and a bronce necklace. I found a cup and a bowl, they are about 200 years old. I found an ancient room, it was incrdible!!!!
Later in the after noon I went to the library to look up about the history of Perú, then I went to my friend's house to have a snack with she. When I arrived home I texted my mum and my dad to talk about my day. I had a shower and hed dinner but I didn't drink anything. Later I went to bed to sleep.

EliminarThis summer I went diving in the Atlantic Sea, I dived so deep that I found a pirate ship. I was researching about the ship in Google and I discovered that it was a famous pirate ship that sank on June 30, 1983 called "Storm". Its first trip The official pirate ship was on January 16, 1981, two years before its shipwreck. It sank due to a strong storm. There were fifty-three pirates on the ship trying to survive, but only seventeen of the fifty-three pirates survived. When I got home and I told my family, they all freaked out.

ResponderEliminarIn Italy I saw some structuers that i loved to, one of the structures was the tower of pisa .the tower of pisa is about 177 years old.I have found a coin and a bracelet which interests me a lot because it is very rare in Spanish .Latter I went to buy a funko pop since they owe me one and after buying the funko we went to have dinner in a wook.

Last summer I went to a castle in Alcala del Jucar(Spain).The castle is built from 1700 and it was destoyed in 1803 but in the 1875 they rebuilt it.This was fantastic!!

I found many ancient objects roman gold coins,metal spoons,letters.l found the ruins of a wood table and a dungeon.It was amazing!!!
Leter I went to a café with my dad and my mum and we talked of all the objects we found.I drank a oreo milkshake and I ate a croisant.When I arrive home I went online to look some information and used the printer to print out some photos.
Then I had a shower and I wached the TV and I text my friend to tell her my experience.It was a amazing day!!!

EliminarThe last summer I went to "Taj Mahalo" (India). The emperor built it Xa Jahar in memory of his wife, in age 1631-1653 in Agra.
ResponderEliminarInside the mausoleum were the tombs of the emperor and his wife.Outside was full of beautiful gardens with many flowers. The castle was made of white marble.
In my journey I found a lots of objects:two necklaces, one bracelet, four bowls and three coins made of gold.
Later in the afternoon I went to have a snack with my family. I ate orange juice and cookies.
When arrived home I had a shower and texted to my friends to tell them about my fantastic experience. It was a great day!!

EliminarLast summer I went on a trip to ancient Egypt. The Egyptian pyramids had an objective that was to last in eternity just like the monumental tombs that were built 4500 years ago.
ResponderEliminarThe egyptians pharaohs wanted to become in gods in another life , to prepare for the other world they choose temples to the gods and huge tombs for themselves.
On my joumey visited the pyramids of Egypt and the huge pyramidal tombs of the pharaohs, one of them was a project iniciated by Pharaoh Keops, the first pyramid of Egypt in the year 2550. It is the largest pyramid of Guiza (Egypt) with 147 meters high.
It was awesome!!
When I got home I called all my friends to meet and show them a lot of photos from my trip.

EliminarLast August I visited the Mayan ruins Tulun in Mexico.
ResponderEliminarTulum is located next to the sea and was built between the years 1200 and 1450.
Tulum was built on a 12 meter high rock cliff, it was surrounded on three sides by fortified walls and one side by the Caribbean Sea.
The constructions are small and of little complexity, height and quality.
They were engaged in maritime trade and that is why remains were found at the bottom of the sea such as knives, spoons, forks, lots of coins, bowls and some rings.
After having investigated we went to dinner at a restaurant with the family and we were talking all the time about the experience we had.
It was a spectacular experience!

ResponderEliminarLast fall I went to visit the Roman Coliseum, it is an amphitheater that was built in the 1st century at the time of the Roman Empire, it is currently one of the best 7 wonders in the world. It is located in Rome where I was on vacation for a few days.
In the coliseum I found a lot of very old objects, such as stones, vases, necklaces, shields, swords...
It had a capacity of 65,000 spectators with 80 rows of seats. Gladiator fights and public shows were held. It was used for almost 5 centuries until the 6th century.
Then I did nothing else and decided to go to bed to rest. The next day I did meet my friends in a square in Valencia and I told them a little about what I had seen, what I had found, what the experience was like...
I told them that almost everything I had found was gold, silver, metal, steel… They all found it very interesting and in the end we all went home to rest.

EliminarLast christmas I went to the Monterrey castle in Ourense. It was built from the 10th year to the 12th year. This was very interesting!!!
ResponderEliminarIn my journey I went to a room of the castle to watch ancient objects. I found romans silver coins, a letter, metal cups and a artistic bawl. I found a ancient kitchen.
The next day I went to my house with my friends and we talked of the objects I found. I drank a CocaCola and I ate popcorns. Then I went to the library to look up some information on the computer and I used the printer to print out some photos of the objects to make a project of the school.
Finally I read a book, I had a bath and I had dinner watching the TV. It was a perfect day!!!

Later in the afternoon i went to the park to paly with my friends and i told they my experience on the guiza sphinx,later on the night i log on the internet for look up information about the objects that i found and i went to my bed to rest.

EliminarLast December I went for a trip to Carcassonne castle, it was built in the 12th century. The castle was fivety-two towers and two gates.
ResponderEliminarIn my journey, I visited with my family the walls, the rooms and the corners of the soldiers. I found knives, two old coins, a ring and a curious letter. I could travel in time.
Later in the afternoon I went to a coffee shop to have a snack with my family. We ate a hot chocolate and some cakes. We tolk about the experience.
When we arrived to the hotel I used the computer to find information about the curious letter. My father used the printer to print out some photos. Then I had a snack and I went to my bed, I was very tired. The day has been increíble.

ResponderEliminarLast year I went to Italy with my family and I visited The Roman Coliseum.
ResponderEliminarWe saw gladiator fights, wild beast fights and naval combats and after an hour and a half, the show ended.I found a ot of objects, old coins, a roman bracelet... Actually the coliseum was very big, in one day we couldn't see everything, so the next day we went back,we spent 134 euros.
We were there from nine in the morning, when they open, until half past four, when they closed, and I had a great time.
Later I went to a restaurant que se llamaba ''Ristoro Della Salute'' the food was very good, we ordered pizza and Italian pasta.And at six o'clock we returned to the hotel where we were staying and while our parents were preparing dinner, my brother and I were watching television. Within an hour we were in the dining room and I went to the bathroom to wash my hands.
We finished dinner and went to sleep.

It was very cool , i had very a spectacular time! In Egypt i found several objects, Egiptyan amulets, the Rosetta Stone...after exploring for a while, i decided to go Tello my friends about It.friends and yo tell them more calmly web met in a cafeteria that i hace next yo muy House. ResponderEliminarIt was amazing!!!! I saw lots of diferents types of rocks and diferents colors, i met many people from other culures... I found lots of objects:two chinese coins,one comb i guess lost and trhee old spoons. The canyon was bigger and beautyful,i would like to go again.Later i went to a exotic restaurant and i ate a tradicional snack of this place.It was delicious!!!! In the afternoon i watched a serie on Netflix called STRANGER THINGS whit my mum and dad.
