"OUR COMMUNITY" PROJECTS IDEAS (4TH PRIMARY)

HI MATES!!! THESE ARE SOME IDEAS FOR YOUR AMAZING TOWN FRIEZE!!!

This is a project in BIG GROUP. Students have to design at least TWO different places in the city in an A4 cardboard. They decide which places they prefer and they can design  some more city things as trees, cars, motorbikes, traffic lights...They finally will stick all places in the city in a kind of TOWN FRIEZE.

On the other hand, students will bring a photo of themselves for the written project. 

The project will be done in the class so I will give them the rest of materials and they will write their craft with my help.

BE ORIGINAL AND CREATIVE!!!!

On the 31st October people celebrate this festival all around the world. This celebration started in IRELAND AND SCOTLAND, but now it's extended to other countries. Children wear scary costumes and they go to other houses asking for sweets with the TRICK OR TREAT? question. They also decorate pumpkins lanterns with a terrifying face and they play funny games to have a good time.

- I play football four times a week but I never play handball. I don't like this sport at all.

READING NUMBERS AND YEARS (5TH PRIMARY)

In the OPEN UP STARTER UNIT we are reading texts with many NUMBERS. It is important to improve the speed in reading including numbers and years that sometimes make more difficult the reading task. Here you have some interesting information you have to remember to say the numbers very quickly.

1000 = ONE THOUSAND

100 = ONE HUNDRED

3257 = three thousand two hundred and fifty-seven

5891 = five thousand eight hundred and ninety-one

On the other hand, we normally read the years two by two:
